The Brauchle Legacy

Henry Theodore Brauchle (1870-1958), one of Helotes’s most renowned teachers, has an elementary school named after him, as does one of his grandsons—Charles Kuentz. But what many people don’t know is that, for the majority of his life, Brauchle was a farmer, and his farm encompassed 171.95 acres in Helotes. Read about this remarkable man and his family in the fall 2018 issue of Helotes magazine, pp. 20-23.
